3 Things I learned from the Web Writing Style Guide

One thing I learned from reading the Web Writing Style Guide article is how to create a strong and valid background. Using white spaces on the paper can allow for the readers to more easily read the material and get more out of it. That, with the addition of solid colored text and adding visuals can help created a buzz or interest within the text.  After reading this article I can apply this to my group project by using this tool by using visuals to liven the paper up.

Another thing I learned from the article is the importance of incorporating color in a project or visual text. This is important for several reasons but mainly because of the attention it draws to the reader in a way that plain text cannot do. Also it can set the mood or vibe for the audience. I can definitely use this in my group project to better catch the eyes of my reader through color.

The final thing I took from this article is the importance of using flashy words to make your paper seem more legitimate or to create more interest. But often time it is not necessary to do this. The audience make negatively be affected by the large words. Getting to the point without “jazzing” up your work is often times more effective
