Questions
1.) I
learned to write from my parents, and from schooling.
2.) I
have written research articles, and articles for my high school newspaper.
3.) I
really enjoyed journalism a lot. I got to write about what I wanted to and go
out and find my own quotes through interviewing people.
4.) I
remember reading “Goodnight Moon” with my dad before bed, and I remember
writing a short story in kindergarten about my favorite sport.
5.) I
found out that writing was an awesome place to put your feelings on paper, also
being able to communicate through writing is a very important skill to have.
6.) It
was frustrating to me that writing and reading became harder. The material that
we learned increased each year that pasted which was frustrating. At the same time it helped my progression as
a student. It’s pleasing now to look at how I write because it took a long time
for me to become the reader/writer I am today.
7.) I
am most commonly reading tweets, blog posts, and newspaper articles.
8.) I
really enjoy reading about sports and current events that are happening in the
world.
9.) My
attitude towards writing is frustration. Writing is always a challenge and a
skill that can never be perfected.
10.)
I think that both reading and writing are very
important skills to have, especially when trying to find a job. These skills
are truly priceless in my opinion.
11.)
I can sometimes become lazy when reading or
writing. In writing I tend to make grammatical errors, and in reading I
frequently will miss over key points from the reading which in turn makes
reading a waste of time because I am not getting anything out of the reading.
In the past I would also be extremely busy with reading and writing which lead
to me sometimes slacking off which is a bad habit of mine.

My teachers and parents have acted as literacy sponsors
of mine.
13.)
Grade school and Moeller high school really were
places where my knowledge grew and developed.
14.)
It really brought me back to how I learned about
writing and reading. It is a very cool experience to look back on how we become
literate and the process behind it.
