I. Summary

In The Inspired Writer vs. The Real Writer, Sarah Allen explains that some students don’t think they have the capability to be good writers. She believes that some students also believe that being a good writing doesn’t come with practice but comes naturally which she argues is far from the truth. She goes on to say that even as an English teacher she has to work hard because the English in general is a hard subject to master

II. Conversation
Writing is definitely a head game that can get the best of some writers. Being confident and practicing writing frequently is something that is an invaluable tool in writing an effective paper.

III. Assigned Exercises

1.) Q: AE2. Allen poses the purpose of writing as "connection." Do you agree with Allen? What other purposes do you think scholars and writers might suggest?

A: I do agree with Allen's purpose of writing as a "connection". When you are writing you have to have a connection with your  audience or your points and arguments will not hit home with the readers, therefore making you paper pointless. I think any scholar would students to practice. Writing is like anything you do. Practice makes perfect!

2.) Q: QDJ3. When have you colluded in the past? Within that context and others, do you believe that "collusion" is plagiarism?

A: No, collusion is not plagiarism by any means. I have colluded with my friends on many occasions. When writing papers they have given me advice, just like i have given advice to them. I think collaborating on work and having people review your work is very important to having a quality paper..

3.) Q: MM: Have you ever negatively affected by the idea of he inspired writer, a time when you didn't feel inspired but felt you should be?

A: I personally have no been affected by the ideas if inspired writers. I am one who comes with ideas for papers quite quickly. I like getting the ideas in my head out on paper and when i want to dig deeper on a subject I usually will so i would say that I am an inspired writer.

IV. Personal Reflection
This article did hit a lot of really interesting points that many writers my age and younger experience when going to write a paper. Some people think that writing is a hard task while to others it can come very easily. Writing is definitely a process that takes lots of time to master.
